Due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases among our Carolina communities, our lobby services are currently available by appointment only. If you enter a branch lobby for service, you will be required to wear a protective face mask or covering. You will be asked to present a valid Photo ID and briefly lower your mask for identification purposes. We appreciate your cooperation as we work to maintain a secure environment for everyone.
As we continue to monitor the developments and impacts of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), our top priority is ensuring the safety of employees and members while continuing to deliver the best service possible. Any updates will be communicated on our website and via social media.

Funds Availability Policy Change
Effective July 1, 2020, the Funds Availability Policy will reflect the following two beneficial changes for check holds placed on a transaction account.
First business day availability will increase from $200 to $225
Single day check deposits totaling $5,525 may be subject to delayed availability. (Previous limit was $5,000) More details about CTFCU's Funds Availability Policy can be found here.

We met with Audrey Turner, Director of Member Experience, and her husband David Turner, Retired FDNY.
LaSheena Vaught was recently promoted to Surfside Branch Manager. She joined the credit union in 2009 as a Teller and has since held the roles of Teller Supervisor and most recently MSR IV Loan Officer. As Branch Manager, she will use her previous management experiences, along with her vast knowledge of the Credit Union’s products and services to continue to assist our members.

Carolina Trust Receives Diamond Award
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union was recently honored with an Ongoing Events Diamond Award, which recognizes outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry.
The award was presented by the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network comprised of over 1,200 credit union marketing and business development professionals. Awards are given in each of 35 categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond.
Carolina Trust won the Ongoing Events Diamond Award for its entry, entitled I’m A Buddy, Not A Bully. The program originated in 2017 and has grown to include 31 participating schools from Horry County and Southern Florence County, South Carolina. Carolina Trust partnered with former NFL player, Ricky Sapp and his foundation, on public service announcements and school visits. During the school visits, Carolina Trust provided fifth-grade students with resources on the effects of bullying, and how to prevent and report it.

Carolina Trust recently ran a Home Renovation Contest, where participants shared details and a picture of their home renovation project or idea for a chance to a win a $500 Lowe's Gift Card. Our winner, Janna DeCamps, plans to use the gift card for kitchen renovations.
Ms. DeCamps inherited the home from her mother, who sadly passed away earlier this year after a battle with cancer. She hopes to renovate her mother's house and make it beautiful again. "I know that would make her proud that I am taking good care of the home she left me," said Ms. Decamps.
For the fourteenth year, Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and Horry Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (HTC) chose two graduating high school seniors to win $1,000 each in scholarship awards. High school seniors from Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, and the southern part of Florence County planning to attend either Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University were encouraged to apply.
The 2020 Key Scholarship award winners are: Carolina Forest High School graduate, Camryn Conover, and Carvers Bay High School graduate, Destiny Poston. This fall, Conover plans to attend Coastal Carolina University and major in Psychology and Biology, and Poston also plans to attend CCU to major in and Finance and Marketing.
