Carolina Trust Board Chairman Named Designated Pilot Examiner of the Year
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Board Chairman, Lieutenant Colonel B. Michael Marlowe USAF Retired has been named Designated Pilot Examiner of the Year by the South Carolina Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Standards District Office (FSDO). Lt. Col. Marlowe was presented his award by Randy DeBerry, FAA District Manager.
A Designated Pilot Examiner (commonly referred to as a DPE) is a senior pilot designated by the FAA to conduct oral examinations and inflight or flight simulator checkrides (collectively called “practical tests”) with pilot applicants to determine their suitability to be issued a Pilot Certificate or additional rating.
Lt. Col. Marlowe has been a board member of Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union for 27 years and has served as a designated pilot examiner for the FAA for 25 years.

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Appoints AVP Financial Analyst
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union is pleased to welcome Heather Elliott to the position of AVP Financial Analyst.
Heather comes to Carolina Trust with twenty-four years of banking experience and has held several different roles, most recently as a Senior Accountant. She is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a degree in Finance/Accounting.
She is looking forward to bringing her current knowledge and experience to Carolina Trust and being an integral part of serving our Members and Team Members.
It’s that time of year again. WMBF has started taking nominations for their Best of the Grand Strand contest. We'd love for you to nominate Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union as BEST BANK/MORTGAGE company on the Grand Strand.
Votes are cast via email address so that you can send in one nomination for Carolina Trust as Best Bank, per email address, per day. Only the top five nominees will move on to the official voting round, so nominations are super important. The nomination period will end on 4/14 at the end of the day and the official voting round will begin on 5/6.

Governmental Affairs Conference (The GAC)
Members of the Carolina Trust Executive team recently attended the CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C.
Americas Credit Unions Governmental Affairs Conference (The GAC) is the most significant annual event for credit unions. Thousands of industry leaders visit Capitol Hill to meet with our legislators and regulators and lobby for the continued well being of credit unions & our members & make it known we are Americans' best financial partners. At this event, members of our executive team met with United States Representative Ralph Norman, Senator Tim Scott, United States Representative Russell Fry, United States Representative William Timmons, United States Representative Nancy Mace and United States Representative Joe Wilson and thanked them for their support of our credit unions.
Community Counts Charities Gatsby Gala
Employees had a great time at Community Counts Charities Gatsby Gala, which is a fundraising benefit for The Shepherd’s Table of Conway.
