WMBF Best of the Grand Strand

It’s that time of year again. WMBF has started taking nominations for their Best of the Grand Strand contest. We'd love for you to nominate Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union as BEST BANK/MORTGAGE company on the Grand Strand.

Votes are cast via email address so that you can send in one nomination for Carolina Trust as Best Bank, per email address, per day. Only the top five nominees will move on to the official voting round, so nominations are super important. The nomination period will end on 4/12 at the end of the day.

You can find Carolina Trust under the Services category> Bank and Services category> Mortgage.

You can nominate daily, so please continue to support your credit union by nominating us each day in both categories. We thank you in advance for your support continuing to do so!

Habitat for Humanity Build

Employees got to live out the credit union philosophy, “people helping people,” by framing a home with Habitat for Humanity. Like Carolina Trust, Habitat for Humanity focuses on lifting up members of the community and helping them build a brighter future, and it was an honor to play a role in that with the build.

    Important Update About Pennies

The federal government has ended penny production, and the Federal Reserve is gradually reducing penny distribution as inventory declines. You may notice fewer pennies available in circulation.

    To support this transition:

    • When cashing checks, we will ask members to deposit any change into their accounts.
    • If you are a non‑member cashing a check that requires providing change, we may not be able to cash your check due to limited coin availability.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this nationwide change.
