COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Branch Updates
Effective as of 10/19/2020

 

All locations are currently open and operating during normal business hours. Although our lobbies have reopened, we may limit occupancy from time-to-time to ensure social distancing. If you plan to stop by a branch, we encourage you to click the button below to schedule an appointment at your preferred branch. Any updates will be communicated on our website and via social media.

 

If you enter a branch lobby for service, you will be required to wear a protective face mask or covering. You will be asked to present a valid Photo ID and briefly lower your mask for identification purposes. We appreciate your cooperation as we work to maintain a secure environment for everyone.

As we continue to monitor the developments and impacts of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), our top priority is ensuring the safety of employees and members while continuing to deliver the best service possible. As a friendly reminder, a Carolina Trust representative will not request your account information through text or over the phone.

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Receives International Business Awards

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union, Myrtle Beach, SC, announced the company won a Gold Stevie® Award in the Company of the Year- Banking category in the 17th Annual International Business Awards®. The company also won a Bronze Stevie® Award for Most Exemplary Employer- COVID-19 Response category.

High-achieving organizations and executives worldwide have been recognized as Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie® Award winners in the 17th Annual International Business Awards®, the world's only international, all-encompassing business awards program.

 

Winners were selected from more than 3,800 nominations submitted by organizations in more than 60 nations.

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Receives American Business/Stevie® Awards

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union, Myrtle Beach, SC, announced the company won a Gold Stevie® Award in the COVID-19 Response category for Most Valuable Employer in the 18th Annual American Business Awards®. The company also won a Silver Stevie® Award for Most Valuable Human Resources Team in the COVID-19 Response category.

The awards recognize the world’s best employers and the human resources professionals, teams, achievements, and HR-related products and suppliers who help to create and drive great places to work.

More than 700 nominations from organizations from 23 nations were evaluated in this year’s competition. Winners were determined by the average scores of more than 90 professionals worldwide, acting as judges. The Stevie Awards for Great Employers recognize achievement in many facets of the workplace.

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Announces Employee Promotion

 

Heidi Hunter was recently promoted to AVP Human Resources. She joined the credit union in March 2015, where she started as HR/Assistant and has since held the role of HR Generalist. Heidi is an alumnus of the University of South Carolina. Before finding her calling in Human Resources, Heidi worked for years in the restaurant industry. She will use the knowledge she has gained in her previous position and the SHRM Human Resources course she has taken, to help her better assist Carolina Trust employees.

Carolina Trust Welcomes New Executive Assistant to the President/CEO

 

Carolina Trust is pleased to welcome Amanda Heath to the position of Executive Assistant to the President/CEO.

 

Heath comes to Carolina Trust from Collinsville Bank in Connecticut, where she served as Corporate Secretary. In her previous position, she worked directly with the President/CEO and Board of Directors. Heath has been in the banking industry since 2013, and has previously held the positions of a Teller, Teller Supervisor and Customer Service Representative.

Key Scholarship

Key Scholarship Banner 2021
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and HTC, Inc. have partnered to offer scholarship awards to two graduating high school seniors within Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, or the southern part of Florence County. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to two rising college freshmen attending either Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University for their four-year degree. The scholarships may be renewed for three consecutive years in the amount of $500 per year should the award recipients continue to meet qualifying criteria. The total scholarship amount each student may receive over a four-year period is $2,500. All materials must be postmarked by March 5, 2021.The two scholarship recipients for the 2021-2022 academic year will be announced in May 2021. IRS e-File: April 15, 2021

 

As you prepare for the April 15th tax deadline, consider filing your taxes online.

 

By e-filing with the Internal Revenue Service, you can have your tax refund directly deposited to your Carolina Trust checking account. In fact, when filing online, refunds are processed in half the time compared to filing a paper return*.

 

To ensure your refund is deposited correctly to your Carolina Trust checking account, include the 13 to 14-digit number beginning with "4011" listed after the routing and transit number. The Carolina Trust routing number is 253279510.

 

*Consult your tax adviser for more details.
