Carolina Trust Sponsors the West Zone at the Myrtle Beach Bowl Game
Carolina Trust was the proud sponsor of the West Zone at the 2022 Myrtle Beach Bowl Game. The 3rd annual Myrtle Beach Bowl, which featured the University of Connecticut and Marshall University, took place at Brooks Stadium on December 19th, 2022. This postseason competition features matchups from three conference partners – Conference USA, Mid-American Conference (MAC), and Sun Belt Conference.
Carolina Trust will continue the West Zone Sponsorship for the 2023 Myrtle Beach Bowl and is honored to partner with ESPN Events for this wonderful sports match up that brings commerce and tourism to the Grand Strand area.

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Sponsors Coastal Carolina University Baseball Play Ball Kid Contest
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Coastal Carolina University Play Ball Kid Contest for the upcoming baseball season.
A Play Ball Kid will be selected for each Saturday home baseball game, as well as the game against Clemson University on Wednesday, May 10th, and the game against the University of North Carolina on Tuesday, May 16th.
In addition to announcing the start of play at the baseball game, the Play Ball Kid will receive four game tickets, a premium parking pass, an autographed baseball signed by Coastal Carolina University Baseball Coach Gary Gilmore, and a Chanticleer Prize Pack.
“We love having the opportunity to provide children in the Grand Strand with an opportunity to attend a Chanticleer Football game through our beloved Coin Toss Kid Contest and are excited to offer a similar style contest for baseball season,” said Tim Carlisle, Carolina Trust President/CEO.

Carolina Trust Appoints Member Solutions Manager
Carolina Trust is pleased to welcome Antuan Wood to the position of Member Solutions Manager.
Antuan comes to Carolina Trust with 16 years of credit union experience and has held several different roles, most recently as a Collections Manager. As a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor, he is looking forward to bringing his current knowledge and experience to this new position at the credit union and being an integral part of serving our Members and Team Members.
Debit and Credit Card Production Delays
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union is experiencing a delay in processing in both Debit and Credit Card production that is now affecting our members. The supply chain issue is resulting in the delay of processing and mailing of expiring cards. We also have disrupted delivery of our instant issue debit cards, so supply is very limited and sporadic. We are reaching out to those cards expiring but if you need a replacement card there may be a significant delay.

Key Scholarship
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and HTC, Inc. have partnered to offer scholarship awards to two graduating high school seniors within Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, or the southern part of Florence County. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to two rising college freshmen attending either Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University for their four-year degree. The scholarships may be renewed for three consecutive years in the amount of $500 per year should the award recipients continue to meet qualifying criteria. The total scholarship amount each student may receive over a four-year period is $2,500. All materials must be postmarked by March 3, 2023.The two scholarship recipients for the 2023-2024 academic year will be announced in May 2023. On the January Financial Friday Community Panel, Brand Ambassador, August was joined by special guests Kathy Jenkins, CEO of New Directions of Horry County and Blakely Roof, President and CEO of United Way of Horry County, to talk about community service.
Employees recently traded in their brand wear for the day to wear red in celebration of National Wear Red Day. Wear Red Day is an awareness day for women to understand their number one health threat -- heart disease. Miss Myrtle Beach Pageant
Employees had a great time at the Miss Myrtle Beach Pageant, where contestants competed in an interview, talent and evening wear category. The Miss Myrtle Beach pageant is a part of the Miss American Scholarship Organization, the world’s largest scholarship organization for women.
