Our branch locations are currently open and operating during normal business hours. If you plan to stop by a branch, protective masks are recommended, and member appointments are highly encouraged since lobby capacity may be limited to ensure social distancing. When entering a branch lobby for service, if wearing a face mask or covering, you will be asked to present a valid Photo ID and briefly lower your mask for identification purposes. Key Scholarship
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and HTC, Inc. have partnered to offer scholarship awards to two graduating high school seniors within Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, or the southern part of Florence County. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to two rising college freshmen attending either Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University for their four-year degree. The scholarships may be renewed for three consecutive years in the amount of $500 per year should the award recipients continue to meet qualifying criteria. The total scholarship amount each student may receive over a four-year period is $2,500. All materials must be postmarked by March 4, 2022.The two scholarship recipients for the 2022-2023 academic year will be announced in May 2022. On a recent segment of Living Local Carolina, Brand Ambassador, August got to chat with Karen Riordan, President and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB about the first annual Winter Wonderland at the Beach.
We were a proud sponsor of the Myrtle Beach Bowl Game on December 20th. This wonderful event brings so much attention to our beautiful Grand Strand, and we were honored to be apart of it.
Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund
Carolina Trust recently made a donation to tornado victims in the state of Kentucky. We hope our donation will help those who are experiencing devastation and having to rebuild their lives after this tragedy.
Fred Nesta's Angel Tree Program
We partnered with the Horry County Sheriff's Office and King One Properties Internationalto assist Fred Nesta’s Angel Tree Program. As part of our partnership, we accepted toy donations for the program at our 21st Ave. branch. We also donated gift cards, which were given to older children and used to purchase gifts on children's wish lists.
Additionally, we made a donation of socks and shirts, which were donated by employees, to the local homeless shelter. We also made a holiday donations to the Brunswick Family Assistance and Harvest Hope Food Bank.
Spreading Holiday Cheer to Autumn Care of Shallotte
Last month, we delivered socks, lotion, and holiday cards hand-made by our employees to the residents of Autumn Care of Shallotte to spread a little holiday cheer.
