Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Continues West Zone Sponsorship at the Myrtle Beach Bowl Game
Carolina Trust was the proud sponsor of the West Zone again this year at the 2024 Myrtle Beach Bowl Game. The 5th annual Myrtle Beach Bowl, featuring Coastal Carolina University and University of Texas at San Antonio took place at Brooks Stadium on December 23rd, 2024. This postseason competition features matchups from three conference partners – Conference USA, Mid-American Conference (MAC), and Sun Belt Conference.
“The Myrtle Beach Bowl is a great addition to our community’s sports tourism, and I’m honored that Carolina Trust can play a part in expanding that through our sponsorship for years to come,” said Tim Carlisle, Carolina Trust President/CEO.

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Announces Employee Promotions
Nick Jones and Evelyn Ramirez have been appointed to the positions of AVP Lending Solutions and Senior Underwriter.
Nick has been with Carolina Trust since September 2023, where he has held the position of Member Solutions Manager. Prior to joining the credit union, he worked in several different lending and collections positions with both credit unions and banks.
Evelyn has been with Carolina Trust for over 20 years, where she has held a variety of different roles, giving her a great deal of knowledge about the different aspects of the credit union. Most recently, she has worked in our Underwriting department, which she joined upon its establishment in 2017.

We're proud to announce that for the third year, Carolina Trust will partner with the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation for the Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Community Service Scholarship ($5,000.00) and the Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Legacy Scholarship ($5,000.00).
In addition, Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and Horry Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (HTC) have partnered to offer two scholarship awards to local graduating high school seniors who wish to continue their education at either Coastal Carolina University (CCU) or Francis Marion University (FMU). Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to rising college freshmen seeking a four-year degree from CCU or FMU.

McLeod Fellows Program
Our President/CEO Tim Carlilse participated in the McLeod Fellows program. McLeod Fellows is a chance for community leaders to get a behind the scenes look at medicine and to explore the complex issues driving healthcare today while demonstrating the continuing need for philanthropy. Throughout the program, participants have one-of-a-kind experiences and gain insight into medical and technological advances through access to areas of McLeod Health.
Low Country Food Bank
At Carolina Trust, we are people serving people to our core. A big thank you to several of our employees who represented us during the holiday season with their volunteer service at the Low Country Food Bank.
Beach Ball Classic
Carolina Trust was a proud sponsor of the 44th Annual Beach Ball Classic. This tournament brings in the finest high school basketball teams from around the country to compete for the coveted Championship Trophy while entertaining thousands of citizens from the Grand Strand Community and beyond.
Santa's Village Toy Drive
For the seventh year, Carolina Trust was proud to assist with the annual Santa's Village Toy Drive. As part of our partnership, we accepted toy donations for the program at our Horry County branches. We donated gift cards, which were given to older children and used to purchase gifts on children's wish lists. We want to thank all those who donated for helping to provide families in the Grand Strand with a wonderful Christmas.
Holiday Skip-A-Pay
To help provide some holiday relief, you may choose to skip your Carolina Trust loan payment during January 2025 for just $25.00*. Interest will continue to accrue on a skipped loan payment and other restrictions may apply. Deadline for Holiday Skip-A-Pay is 1/31/2025.
*Fee must be received before payment date will be changed. Modified loans, mortgage loans, home equity loans or lines of credit, previously modified loan, personal line of credit and VISA Credit Card payments are not eligible. If it is a joint loan, both signatures are required before it is reviewed for approval. The loan must not have been delinquent 60 or more days in the past twelve months and must be open for at least 6 months. Other restrictions may apply.
Consider opening a Carolina Trust Christmas Club accountto save for holiday expenses throughout the year while earning a competitive rate on your deposits. Monthly deposits may be made via direct deposit, payroll deduction, or at the Credit Union. Your Christmas Club balance will automatically transfer to your checking or savings account on November 1st.
