AVP Commercial Lending Graduates from Leadership Grand Strand
David Welborn, Carolina Trust AVP Commercial Lending recently graduated from the 41st Class of Leadership Grand Strand.
Leadership Grand Strand is a 10-month program sponsored by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce to develop a corps of informed, committed, and qualified individuals capable of providing dynamic leadership for the Grand Strand area.
Each of the LGS 41 class members volunteered at least 75 hours with various local charities, including Habitat for Humanity and New Directions Men’s Shelter in Myrtle Beach. The class also completed a beautiful mural painting on a wall on the side of The Gay Dolphin – this project received a tremendous amount of media coverage and was very well produced.
"I would encourage anyone interested in personal and professional growth to get involved with the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Grand Strand, " said Welborn. "It has been a great experience and I am thankful for the entire Carolina Trust team for affording me this opportunity. I look forward to applying the skills I have been developing over the past year with my teammates! The Future is Bright for Myrtle Beach!"

This year's CUNA Youth Month theme was, “be a credit union saver and your savings will never go extinct.” This Jurassic theme made saving for the future fun and helped younger members appreciate the importance of putting money aside.
