Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Continues Annual Veterans Scholarship

For the fourth year in a row, Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union will continue the Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Annual Veterans Scholarship in memory of Lieutenant Colonel James B. Kendrick, USAF/Retired. The scholarship will go to Veterans Services at Coastal Carolina University, to help support military veterans and participants in the ROTC program.

 

Colonel Kendrick served as a USAF pilot during World War II. He started his extensive career in 1936 whenever he entered The Citadel in Charleston, SC and became interested in flying. Although be never anticipated becoming a fighter pilot, he fulfilled many successful missions throughout his distinguished military career. During his military career he learned to fly over 14 different types of airplanes including a WWI plane that had no brakes and no radio. His favorite plane is the B-25.

Carolina Trust Hosts Annual Leadership Conference

Carolina Trust recently hosted its Annual Leadership Conference, where the credit union’s management team discussed ways to improve leadership and service in the upcoming year.

 

Employees concluded the day with a cornhole tournament for the second year in a row. In connection with President/CEO Tim Carlisle’s emphasis on giving back, the credit union made a $1,000 donation to the winning team’s charity of choice, the Community Kitchen of Myrtle Beach.

Carolina Trust Appoints Symitar Business Systems Analyst

Carolina Trust is pleased to welcome Sheena Gordon to the position of Symitar Business Systems Analyst.

 

Gordon comes to Carolina Trust with 19 years of credit union experience and has held several different roles, most recently as an IT Core Systems Administrator. She is looking forward to bringing her current knowledge and experience to this new position at the credit union and being an integral part of serving our members and team members.

Key Scholarship

Key Scholarship Banner 2023

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and HTC, Inc. have partnered to offer scholarship awards to two graduating high school seniors within Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, or the southern part of Florence County. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to two rising college freshmen attending either Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University for their four-year degree. The scholarships may be renewed for three consecutive years in the amount of $500 per year should the award recipients continue to meet qualifying criteria. The total scholarship amount each student may receive over a four-year period is $2,500. All materials must be postmarked by March 3, 2023.The two scholarship recipients for the 2022-2023 academic year will be announced in May 2023. Conway Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting

Employees had a fantastic time at the Conway Chamber of Commerce Masquerade Annual Meeting, learning more about the chamber's accomplishments over the past year and goals for the future.

A special congratulations to Chaun Frink, Senior System Administrator who accepted the LeVerne H. Creel Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of his parents, Sam and Juanita Frink. Our Brand Ambassador, August, was also awarded as Chamber Ambassador of the Year.

To help provide some holiday relief, you may choose to skip your Carolina Trust loan payment during December 2022 or January 2023 for just $25.00*. Interest will continue to accrue on a skipped loan payment and other restrictions may apply. Additional details coming soon. 

 

*Modified loans, mortgage loan, home equity loan/LOC, previously modified loan and VISA credit card payments are excluded. A payment cannot have been skipped on this loan within the past 12 months. The loan must not have been delinquent in the past twelve months and must be open for at least six months. Fee must be received before payment date will be changed.

Christmas Club Account

Consider opening a Carolina Trust Christmas Club account to save for holiday expenses throughout the year while earning a competitive rate on your deposits. Monthly deposits may be made via direct deposit, payroll deduction, or at the Credit Union.
